On route to a new me…

For the past few months I have been blogging on another site (shame I know) and found myself frustrated with changes, browser issues etc. SO here I am…starting anew as part of my commitment to becoming a stronger, fitter me.

What feels like an eternity ago, I used to compete in what was then called the WNSO FAME events.  I was young, single, working but able to commit to the tedious schedule competition life entailed. I had it so easy then, if only  I knew what lay ahead!!!

I am a month and a half into my P90x mission. My third bambino is now nine months and it’s now or never in terms of shedding the baby belly and gigantic boobs. I return to work in just about two and a half months.

The results are starting to show!!! I”m exhausted,  totally behind on housework, and sometimes totally insane but I am not giving up.

I enter each workout praying my children will allow me the full duration to do the do. Some of the P90x programs are up to 90 minutes. I’ve only actually made it to the end of them a few rare, sacred and special times. Those days are what I like to call miracle days. So worth celebrating!

My daughter working out along side me

This is how it usually unfolds. Some days she will stay in her jumper for the entire workout. Most days, she screams and cries to get out. So I place her on the floor with her toys. Then she crawls on me, over to me, perhaps throws up on me or just screams again noting her complete displeasure with my choice to do something other than play with her.  At first I would spaz (internally of course) and /or cry. Now, I just have to let it go and congratulate myself for whatever I can pull off.  If she would only nap, but alas this child is not a daytime sleeper. Or a night time sleeper for that matter!

Today, as I attempted Yoga, my son talked non-stop and my daughter threw her toys at me. I did not find inner peace, but I did finish the workout.

It’s almost time to pick up my daughter from school. And then the second half of the day begins.  The good news is – it’s only a few more hours until vino time.  Thank goodness for that!!!

I have lost several inches now (will post the exact numbers this week) and am able to see myself at the finish line.  It won’t be long now 🙂
